If you’re searching for a feel-good story today, look no more than Blaze Mayes– a trainee at Aledo High School in Aledo, Texas, who was born with Down syndrome. Mayes desired absolutely nothing more than to play football, and he got his desire Friday.

When Aledo travelled to a 55-19 success versus Fort Bend Marshall to protect its 8th Class 5A Department II state champion, Mayes lined up at receiver throughout the last play of the video game. Aledo’s 8 state champions are connected for the most in Texas.

Obviously, this was a fantastic minute for Mayes, and he is now a state champ. You deserve this, Blaze!
