Chef Ranveer Brar’s healthy vegetarian recipe: Raw banana pineapple sliders


If you have not attempted consuming raw bananas yet, you’re losing out on something really scrumptious and healthy. Raw bananas are included in lots of dishes throughout India– through bhajjiyas, curries, chips and so on. Raw banana pineapple sliders with green apple coleslaw

Active Ingredients

For the tikki or hamburger patties

2 cups boiled mashed potato

1 raw banana, diced or grated

Oil to shallow fry and sauté

1 tsp jeera or cumin seeds

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp sliced green chillies

Salt to taste

1 tsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

For the coleslaw

1 green apple, julienned

1/2 cup red cabbage, sliced

1/2 cup green cabbage, sliced

1 tsp curry powder

1 tsp mayo

1 tsp black pepper

Salt to taste

Pineapple sliced into thin pieces

Pit bread pieces

Technique

Heat olive oil in a discomfort. Include jeera and sauté. Now, include the sliced raw banana and cook till the banana is crispy from the outdoors and soft from the within.

Include 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder and sauté for a long time. Include the green chillies.

Include the boiled potato to the mix and mix to integrate whatever well.

Include salt to season and couple of drops of lemon. Now take it off from the heat and cool it in refrigerator for about 5-6 minutes.

Make little patties of the hamburger mix and cook in a pan.

To make coleslaw

Integrate green apple with red and green cabbage, curry powder, black pepper and mayo.

To serve

Put the hamburger patties on a piece of pita bread and leading it with the coleslaw and piece of pineapple. Leading this with another piece of pita bread. Serve.
